So it’s Friday & the party people just getting ready for the thump of the weekender, so to add up to your adrenaline, here I am with a good news, yeah, I’m speaking about none other than DJ Snake. Yeah I know the first thing that comes to our minds after hearing his name is the swaggy ultra-popular ‘Turn Down For What’ & ‘Get Low’. This time is no different, he’s back this fantastic Friday with a groovy Riddim track ‘Magenta Riddim’.

Well, DJ Snake hates his name allegedly, as everyone called him snake in his city early when he started DJ-ing back in at 14 years old. In 2011, DJ Snake produced for Lady Gaga’s album ‘Born This Way’. This earned him a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year in February 2012. ‘Turn Down for What’ was nominated for MTV Video Music Awards in 2014. DJ Snake has enough of experience packed in his career, his music has a great uniqueness, just like a virgin mojito, Haha!

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’ve probably heard about this new subgenre of dubstep called ‘Riddim Dubstep’, & if not then don’t worry, I at obskur journal will elaborate that for you. LOL! Riddim is usually around the 140 bpm range and is generally pretty repetitive and follows a kick-clap-kick-clap drum formula. Riddim literally translates to Jamaican pronunciation of the English word Rhythm. So if you’re thinking, Riddim is dubstep, but not all dubstep is riddim. Okay, enough of the technicality. LOL!

Coming down to ‘Magenta Riddim’, it is a great mix of many different cultural sounds, you’d think of ‘Magenta Riddim’ But it is not the usual DJ snake track, instead it is on a relaxing side 0f the beat. Yet, it is still thumping, overall it is a great track paying a tribute to countless different music styles. ‘Magenta Riddim’ is gonna make it’s way in the major festivals all season long. Until then, Enjoy this weekend with this amazing beat of the “Lean On’ star. Adios, Amigos!
